Carefully review all parts of your application for completeness and appearance, and ask yourself whether it is clear and covers the essential points in the application instructions.
- Did you include the appropriate work samples and an abbreviated CV (not a biography)?
- If you are a previous resident, did you describe what was accomplished during the first residency, and how you have since advanced the same body of work and/or embarked on new work demonstrating significant professional achievement in your previous residency statement?
- If your work sample is not in English, did you submit an accompanying translation of it?
- Did you verify the contact information for your recommenders and send them your project proposal ahead of time?
And finally, please make sure your application is as polished as possible and remember that each part of the application should build support for your candidacy.
