Allan E. Goodman
Dr. Allan E. Goodman is IIE’s Chief Executive Officer, and has held the position since July 1998. Before joining IIE, Dr. Goodman was Executive Dean of the School of Foreign Service and Professor at Georgetown University.

Nichole Johnson
Nichole Johnson is IIE’s Head of Private Sector and Government Program Development. She leads the design, delivery and evaluation of international education programs for IIE’s clients, including foundations, corporations, and governments.

Peggy Blumenthal
With 30 years of service at IIE, Peggy Blumenthal serves as Senior Counselor to IIE’s CEO. She is an international student exchanges and mobility expert with a wealth of experience in Asia and the Pacific, including U.S.-China exchanges.

Mirka Martel
Dr. Martel is IIE’s Head of Research, Evaluation & Learning (REL). She oversees key research and evaluation projects in international education, including the historic Open Doors report on international educational exchange and the Project Atlas initiative on global student mobility.

Leah Mason
Dr. Mason is IIE’s Research Lead. She leads key research initiatives with a focus on the intersection of student mobility and career readiness, including Project Atlas, Global Workforce Pathways, and the Global Education Research Report series.

Evgenia Valuy
Evgenia Valuy is IIE’s Evaluation and Learning Lead. She specializes in mixed methods performance and impact evaluations of international education fellowship and scholarship programs, with a particular focus on leadership development and women empowerment.

Julie Baer
Julie Baer is IIE’s Research Specialist, where she serves as an expert on trends in international academic mobility. She leads the Open Doors report on international educational exchange and manages IIE’s Snapshot Survey series.

Janice D’souza
Janice D’souza is IIE’s Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, where she serves as an expert on the MODE Framework for programs sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, Department of State. She leads evaluations of U.S. government-sponsored educational exchange programs and private foundation programs, with a special interest in gender and humanitarian emergencies.
