Global Democracy Ambassador Scholarship – Phase II
The Phase II application period has closed.
Eligibility Criteria
- Citizen of Ukraine
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree outside of the United States. Applicants may be based in Ukraine or may be a refugee or displaced person outside of Ukraine.
- Planning to study abroad in the United States in Spring 2023 and/or Summer 2023.
- Cumulative U.S. GPA equivalent of 3.0 or higher, with preference for 3.5 GPA and above.
- All academic disciplines are eligible.
- Willing to participate in online or in-person enrichment activities throughout the course of the program.
Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated interest in returning home to support Ukraine’s future.
- A clear link between academic path and future career goals with a focus on public and community service. Public service may include any career that will support the future and people of Ukraine and is not limited to the government.
- Strong commitment to democratic values through community service, leadership roles and volunteer experiences on campus or more broadly.
- Willingness to serve as ambassador of democratic values, which may include speaking about this scholarship opportunity and your future plans to external audiences at your university, at enrichment events, or elsewhere.
- Preference for those with demonstrated financial need.
- Preference for applicants pursuing a degree at a Ukrainian university, either in-person or virtually.
Global Democracy Ambassador Scholarship – Phase I
The Phase I application period has closed.
Eligibility Criteria
- Citizen of Ukraine
- International student currently enrolled the United States, planning to graduate with a bachelor’s degree between Spring 2023 and Summer 2024. Preference for students completing their final year of study with expected graduation spring/summer 2023.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, with preference for 3.5 GPA and above.
- All academic disciplines are eligible.
- Willing to participate in online or in-person enrichment activities throughout the course of the program.
