The Scholarship

Phase I Benefits

  • Scholars will receive up to $25,000 for educational expenses, depending on their need. Educational costs may include tuition & fees, books/supplies/required equipment, rom and board, and health insurance. Scholars will be required to show proof of their educational costs and financial aid package. Awards amounts will be directly tied to costs, and Scholars who have less need may receive significantly less than $25,000.
  • All Scholars will receive a $5,000 discretionary stipend for the 2022-2023 academic year.
  • Scholarships are intended to assist students as they pursue undergraduate study and are NOT intended to cover all educational expenses. 
  • Scholars may be given other enrichment opportunities to further their education and development.

Phase II Benefits

  • Scholars will receive up to $25,000 for educational expenses, depending on their need. Educational costs may include tuition & fees, books/supplies/required equipment, room and board, and health insurance. Scholars will be required to show proof of their educational costs and financial aid package. Awards amounts will be directly tied to costs, and Scholars who have less need may receive significantly less than $25,000. Should educational costs be higher, the scholarship may not cover all expenses.
  • All Scholars will receive a total of a $5,000 discretionary stipend for their spring and/or summer study abroad in the United States.
  • Scholars will receive round-trip airfare to and from the United States, as well as health insurance while in the United States.
  • For those who require assistance, IIE will provide Scholars support in finding appropriate study abroad opportunities in the United States.
  • Scholars may be given other enrichment opportunities to further their education and development.
