What is the Greek Diaspora Fellowship Program?
The Greek Diaspora Fellowship Program (GDFP) is a scholar exchange program for Greek universities to host a Greek-born scholar in the areas of collaborative research, curriculum co-development and/or graduate student teaching and mentoring. The GDFP is funded by a grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) to the Institute of International Education (IIE) in collaboration with the Fulbright Foundation in Greece. With this grant, IIE aims to support 40 fellowships over two selection cycles that will create collaborative, mutually beneficial engagements between Greek and North American academics and universities.
Who can participate?
AEIs and ATEIs in Greece are eligible to submit a Project Request proposing collaborative activities with a Greek-born scholar. Eligible scholars must have been born in Greece and currently hold a terminal degree and an academic title at an accredited university in the United States or Canada.
