Who should apply?

Graduate awardees are typically nominated from a pool of Fulbright scholars, and undergraduate awardees are normally IIE undergraduate scholarship winners from participating countries.

What is included?

The Barsa Scholarships Program awards are partial, supporting other monies for such items as cost of living or tuition and fees. Graduate awardees are renewable up to a total of two years; undergraduate awards are renewable up to a total of four years.


Who funds the Barsa Scholarships Program?

The fund is sponsored by the Brazil-based De Sa InterAmerican Foundation, a family foundation established in memory of Dorita Barett de Sa, which is dedicated to supporting higher education in Latin America.
