Company recognized by the Great Place to Work® Institute for its mission-driven and flexible workplace culture

WASHINGTON, D.C., Dec. 15, 2020 – The Institute of International Education (IIE) announced its designation as a Great Place to Work-Certified company, underscoring its commitment to creating a meaningful and rewarding environment for all employees.

The certification was the result of high marks in an employee survey conducted by the Great Place to Work organization. The survey found that 91% of employees feel good about the ways IIE contributes to the community, 90% feel they are able to take time off from work when necessary, and 78% say that IIE is a great place to work.

“The Great Place to Work certification is especially meaningful because it is a direct reflection of our employees’ experiences. Their commitment to excellence and dedication to those we serve is truly inspiring,” said Allan Goodman, president and CEO of IIE.” IIE’s culture of innovation and resilience enabled employees to quickly adapt to the disruption brought to international education throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout the last year, IIE made a concerted effort to offer flexibility and support to all employees, and provided additional resources for those directly affected by COVID-19. Additionally, IIE’s organization-wide Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Program reflects its continued commitment to engage thoughtfully with all internal and external constituents around the world, and reaffirms the organization’s deep commitment to these principles.

The Trust Index™ Survey covers a variety of workplace quality experiences, including employee satisfaction in the work culture, belief in the organization's community impact and belief that their work makes a difference. The Great Place to Work organization is the global authority on workplace culture and employee experience, and its various lists are published annually in Fortune.
