WASHINGTON, D.C., May 11, 2023 – IIE is excited to announce the winners of the 2023 IIE Andrew Heiskell Awards for Innovation in International Education. IIE created these awards in 2001 to promote and honor the most outstanding initiatives being conducted in international higher education by IIENetwork members. By recognizing excellence and innovation, IIE hopes to encourage the expansion and creation of programs based on these successful models. In addition, IIE will provide $1,000 to each of the winning initiatives to contribute to their ongoing success. We thank the IIENetwork members that submitted nominations and the selection committee for their time and effort.

The IIE Heiskell Awards are named after Andrew Heiskell, a former member of the Executive Committee of IIE’s Board of Trustees and chairman of Time, Inc. He was a renowned international and cultural philanthropist and a long-time supporter of international education. IIE is proud of continuing his outstanding legacy through the IIE Heiskell Awards and bestowing these awards to IIENetwork members that demonstrate the power and longevity of international education through their innovative and impactful programs.
