Britta Baron joined Western University as Vice-Provost and Associate Vice-President (International) in August 2020. She previously served as Director of the International Department at Humboldt University in Berlin, where she led a team of 60 responsible for developing and implementing an integrated international infrastructure. From 2006-18, Britta was Vice-Provost & Associate Vice-President (International) at the University of Alberta, responsible for international student recruitment and services, education abroad, research collaboration, institutional partnerships and international capacity building. Prior to Alberta, she held several senior roles with DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) promoting international education programming across North America, the UK, Ireland and the Middle East.
