Chiapei Chou is the Executive Vice President and Distinguished Professor, Department of Civil Engineering at National Taiwan University. She has been teaching at National Taiwan University for more than thirty years, and has won multiple awards for her teaching as well as her scholarly contributions in the field of civil and transportation engineering. Professor Chou also served as the Director of the Science and Technology Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in Washington D.C., and prior to that, in Houston and Los Angeles. As Executive Vice President of NTU, Professor Chou oversees the internationalization efforts of the university, including international research cooperation, university partnerships, and the International College.
