What fields of study are supported by the Agricultural Transformation Initiative (ATI) Scholarship and Fellowship Fund (FSF)?
The ATI FSF supports master’s and postdoctoral study and/or research in the following fields of study: agriculture, business, data science, ecology/environment, economics or engineering. Applicants will also indicate sub-fields of interest in the online application form. Click here to see a full list of disciplines and sub-fields.

How do I apply?
To learn more about the application process, review the online application form. All applications must be completed online.
What does the application require?
All applicants must complete the online application form which includes:
- Biographical information
- Curriculum Vitae/Resume
- Transcripts
- GRE/TOFEL/GMAT scores (not required at time of application)
- Two 1-2 page essays. Click here to view Essay Questions.
- Three reference letters. The letters can come from individuals who know you well like a teacher, instructor, professor, mentor or employer/supervisor. Please do not submit letters from family members. Read the Letters of Reference page for more guidance.
Where will I complete my postdoctoral research or graduate studies?
Tentatively, postdoctoral research will be completed in South Africa and graduate studies will be completed in the United States.
Who should I ask to be my reference?
Applicants are required to submit three reference letters. The letters can come from individuals who know you well like an instructor, professor, or supervisor. Please do not submit letters from family members. Learn more about guidance on Letters of Reference.
When is the application due?
The ATI FSF is not currently accepting applications.
