Nora Nemeth is a Research Specialist on IIE’s Research, Evaluation, and Learning (REL) Team, where she conducts research on global mobility patterns and manages international evaluations.
She oversees Project Atlas®, a global research initiative that disseminates comparable student mobility data, conducts studies on academic mobility and the internationalization of higher education, and provides customized workshops and research to strengthen the collection of mobility data around the world.
Ms. Nemeth brings program management experience to international evaluations for corporate and foundation programs, including the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation’s Nomu Al Ghurair initiative, the Rockefeller Foundation’s NextGen Service Fellowship, the Medtronic Spark Scholarship, and the Open Society Foundations’ Academic Freedom Fellowship.
She has co-authored chapters and reports such as the Open Doors Report on International Educational Exchange, IIE’s Snapshot Reports, Transatlantic Mobility in Higher Education and Research: A Cornerstone of Transatlantic Relations, Global internships and study abroad: An employer perspective, and Weaving journeys of social change and impact: Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program. Ms. Nemeth has also previously contributed to the International Fellowships Program (IFP) Alumni Tracking Study and the Porticus Talents for Good program evaluation. She has presented and served on panels for webinars on IIE research initiatives.
Prior to her work in research and evaluation, she served as a program coordinator for EducationUSA, collaborating with a network of over 100 advisers across Europe and Eurasia, contributing to U.S. college and university fairs, and supporting academic partnership-building initiatives at higher education conferences in the region.
Ms. Nemeth is a member of the European Evaluation Society (EES) and the European Association for International Education (EAIE).
She holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of Pécs (Hungary) and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Budapest University of Economics and Business (Hungary). She is based in Budapest, Hungary.
