What is WeTechTM?

Women Enhancing Technology (WeTech) is a consortium of dedicated partners that is led by IIE to design and support a series of innovative activities to provide training, build networks and offer professional opportunities. WeTech helps women and girls enter and succeed in technology careers, with the goal of enhancing women’s talent and skills needed to fuel technological and economic growth.


What Does WeTech Do?

In India:

WeTech supports an after-school program where high school girls learn how to build mobile applications and compete in a world-wide competition to pitch their ideas on a global stage.

Throughout Africa:

WeTech works with organizations and individuals in 16 countries across Africa to support computer science education for girls and women via the Seed Fund for Girls + Women in Computer Science in Africa.

In the United States:

WeTech partners with Qualcomm to offer Qcamp for Girls in STEM, a Summer program that teaches girls valuable technical skillls and prepares them for careers in STEM.
