The Fundación Pedro Barrié de la Maza (The Barrié Foundation), created in 1966, is a corporate foundation focused on promoting the development of Galicia from a global perspective, and gives a high priority to education.

Candidates must be Spanish citizens, and those who can prove a high potential social impact to the Galician community have a higher probability of receiving the scholarship.
