2013 Webinar for Women in STEM SF
The webinar will help prepare students transition into the workforce by learning from women leaders in the STEM fields about communication, negotiation and interview skills.
Heather Ramsey, Director of Strategic Partnerships for IIE’s Center for Women’s Leadership Initiatives, will moderate the panel, which will include Frances Colon, Deputy Science and Technology Adviser to the Secretary of State at U.S. Department of State, Geri Richmond, Professor of Chemistry at the University of Oregon and Ayori Selassi, Product Manager at Salesforce.com.
While the content of the webinar will focus on skills for the women of Brazil’s “Scientific Mobility Program,” we encourage other women studying or working in STEM to join this webinar.

This series of webinars for women in STEM falls under the U.S.–Brazil Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the Advancement of Women signed by former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and former Brazilian Foreign Minister Celso Amorim in March 2010. Through the MOU, the United States and Brazil focus on recruiting, retaining, and advancing women and girls in STEM fields. The two countries have jointly conducted numerous professional and educational exchange programs and events to promote these goals.
