IAPP Delegation to Cuba

The Institute of International Education’s International Academic Partnership Program will lead a delegation of U.S. institutions to the Congreso Universidad, a biannual conference held by the Cuban Ministry of Higher Education.

Since travel from the United States to Cuba is currently restricted, the delegation represents a unique opportunity for representatives of U.S. institutions to meet with higher education officials and university representatives in Cuba.

IAPP has lead three delegations to Cuba since 2015, which have resulted in new exchange programs and academic partnerships between U.S. and Cuban institutions.

IAPP seeks to foster global partnerships between colleges and universities in the United States and the world. Since its inception in 2010, IAPP has led delegations to 11 countries, including Cuba, Brazil, China, Colombia and others.
