Connecting International Education to the Global Workforce

WASHINGTON, D.C., February 2, 2016—Global Professional Search, Inc. (GPS) and the Institute of International Education (IIE) are partnering to connect young professionals from the U.S. and around the world to global enterprises that seek employees with language ability, experience living and studying abroad, and the critical and creative skills acquired through cultural immersion. Under this agreement, IIE invites the alumni of IIE-managed programs to join this network to connect with globally-minded employers by registering through a dedicated IIE/GPS portal.

The growing demand for these particular skills is affirmed by the increasing emphasis now being placed in job postings asking for leadership, resiliency, intellectual curiosity, problem-solving capability, etc.

“Employers will initially engage GPS because we have unprecedented access to candidates with not only proven language proficiency and cultural competency but also the requisite technical expertise. These clients will continue to work with GPS because we are building one of the most exclusive and exceptional pools of global talent available. We are so pleased to be partnering with IIE to identify those candidates with global competencies and find them jobs with employers that value their skills,” remarks Kirsten Brecht Baker, CEO and Co-Founder of GPS.
