We are deeply saddened to witness the tragic violence in Sudan due to warring factions. More than 100,000 people have fled the country while over 330,000 have been internally displaced. For over a century, IIE has worked to build a more peaceful, equitable world in the face of global crises. With the support of our donors and partners in the international higher education community, we provide opportunities to individuals forced to flee violence through our crisis response initiatives including IIE’s Odyssey Scholarship, Scholar Rescue Fund, Artist Protection Fund, and Emergency Student Fund. Our team members around the globe stand in solidarity with the Sudanese people and condemn the military actions that threaten to further destabilize the region.
