Nichole Johnson
Head of Program Development, Private Sector and GovernmentNichole Johnson leads the design of international education programs for IIE’s clients, including foundations, corporations, and governments, concerned with developing an educated workforce through scholarship and training programs and leveraging their assets for social impact.
An experienced international education professional and trainer, Ms. Johnson liaises with the global higher education community to advance internationalization, with expertise in international scholarship development, higher education partnerships, supporting access to education for disadvantaged and underserved popoulations, and regional expertise with the United States, and Latin America and the Caribbean.
Previously, Ms. Johnson served as the Director of Global EducationUSA Services supporting the U.S. Department of State’s global network of EducationUSA advising centers and the Regional Coordinator based in Mexico City, coordinating over forty EducationUSA centers throughout Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. Ms. Johnson has administered programs and served on scholarship selection committees to provide economically-disadvantaged and academically-gifted international students with opportunities to pursue undergraduate and graduate education.
Ms. Johnson has presented at annual conferences of over 15 professional and higher education associations worldwide, and has served on numerous scholarship and award selection committees.
