IAPP prepares participants to engage in future collaborations by guiding them through a strategic planning process to articulate institutional partnership goals.
Experts on establishing institutional partnerships in the focus country, IAPP advisory board members provide ongoing mentoring on developing or expanding a strategic plan for partnerships.
IAPP culminates in a week-long study tour to diverse institutions in the focus country to help participants better understand the partnership priorities of their counterparts.
The IAPP webinar series seeks to help IAPP participants develop a consolidated strategy by providing information on implementing strategic partnerships, cultivating faculty engagement, and navigating the higher education system in the focus country.
IAPP participants receive resources and IIE publications pertaining to developing institutional partnerships.

The International Academic Partnership Program (IAPP), originally funded by the U.S. Department of Education's Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE), is a major initiative of IIE’s Center for International Partnerships in Higher Education that seeks to increase the number of international partnerships between higher education institutions in the U.S. and those abroad.
