Hosting Information

Artist Protection Fund (APF) is calling on current, former, and future hosts to consider your commitment to innovative placemaking by welcoming an APF Fellow into your community.

  • APF Fellowships are for one year.
  • Hosts can be academic institutions, arts residencies, cultural centers, performing arts organizations, or arts communities. Inter-departmental collaboration on behalf of the APF Fellow is encouraged. Fellows may be supported by one or more institutions.
  • Hosts will be required to match the fellowship support through monetary and/or in-kind contributions that may include housing, studio space, materials/supplies, and additional support from their networks.
  • Essential to the hosting arrangement will be the active engagement of hosts in welcoming threatened APF Fellows into their community, facilitating contact with fellow artists and thought leaders, providing mentorship, and access to the full range of resources and contacts available.
  • 100% of the Artist Protection Fund Fellowship award goes directly to the artist.
