IIE's Monitoring and Evaluation team conducts evaluation research on the Global Internship Program for Unemployed Youth in order to measure the outputs, outcomes, and potential impacts of the program on its beneficiaries, including: program participants and businesses where participants conducted their internships and well as to identify best practices and recommendations that could be used to inform future program implementation.

Between June and December 2016, halfway through the second phase of program implementation, IIE conducted a midterm evaluation of the program to measure outputs, outcomes and impacts of the program on its beneficiaries and to identify best practices for program implementation.

In October 2015 IIE administered an online survey in five languages over the course of two-weeks to collect essential data on program outputs, outcomes, and impact on its beneficiaries and to identify best practices for future implementation.

Between December 2014 and April 2015, halfway through the first phase of program implementation, IIE conducted a midterm evaluation of the program measuring not only outputs, outcomes and impacts of the program on its beneficiaries and identifying best practices, but also gathering the opinions of nonprofit partner organizations who implemented the program in each location.
