Fulbright Silvermine Residency

Eligibility

This artist residency opportunity is open to current Foreign Fulbright grantees and Fulbright Visiting Scholars who are in good standing and are working in the following mediums: 

  • Ceramics
  • New media or Digital arts
  • Furniture design/woodworking
  • Painting
  • Drawing
  • Metal/clay sculpture
  • Film & Digital Photography
  • Jewelry
  • Printmaking

In addition to the above, current Foreign Fulbright grantees whose academic program ends prior to the residency start date must also make sure the following requirements are met:

  • The residency period falls within both the time limits defined by the Code of Federal Regulations §62.23 and the time limits established by the Fulbright Scholarship Board for students in the United States.
  • The residency is complementary to your academic program or affiliation and recommended by your academic advisor and directly related to the study program.
  • The residency begins within 30 days of your program completion, according to J-1 visa regulations.
  • The residency falls within the Fulbright policy guidelines of the Fulbright Foreign Student Program or Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program in general, and of your home country in particular.

In addition to the above, current Fulbright Visiting Scholars must also make sure the following requirements are met: 

  • The residency period falls within both the time limits defined by the Code of Federal Regulations §62.20 or §62.21 and the time limits established by the Fulbright Scholarship Board.
  • The residency is complementary to your Fulbright program goals
  • The residency falls within the Fulbright policy guidelines for Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program in general, and of your home country in particular.
