Alumni Awards
The Alumni Awards were individual awards of up to $1,000 designed to support the International Fellowships Program alumni in a wide range of professional, academic, and community activities that provide a benefit to their home communities. The awards were administered by the Institute of International Education in conjunction with the 10-year IFP Alumni Tracking Study.

- Support for a community project or initiative, including community development and outreach efforts.
- Costs associated with research, including data collection, fieldwork, or publication or dissemination of research findings.
- Travel or registration costs associated with attending workshops or conferences.

Awards Commitment
Alumni who received an Award were asked to submit an 800-word essay documenting their activity and its benefits for their home community, as well we encouraged to submit photos, videos, or other multimedia documenting their project.
IFP Alumni Award Winners
There were three rounds of Alumni Awards, both alongside administration of the Global Alumni Surveys, in 2015, 2018, and 2022. Active alumni who had successfully submitted their survey responses were eligible to apply. Winners were selected by an independent selection panel.

After receiving over 1,000 applications in all application rounds, winners were selected and represented a wide variety of project types and fields of work. More than half of the projects were community-development efforts. Alumni implemented small projects around the world, and winners represent each of the 22 countries in which IFP was awarded. Statistics on the 2022 application round forthcoming.
