IFP Archive

What is the IFP Archive?

The International Fellowships Program Archive was created to document the history of IFP and its impacts. Housed at Columbia University, the archive includes materials that document the planning and administration of IFP, as well as the selection, placement, and monitoring of its more than 4,300 Fellows.

What is in the IFP Archive?

  • A selection of digital records — including publications, the IFP media library, and archived websites — are available online via the Ford IFP Archive website.
  • Paper records and electronic administrative files and correspondence are accessible on-site in the reading room of Columbia University’s Rare Book and Manuscript Library.
  • Materials that contain personal and other sensitive information are restricted until 2075.

Who can access the IFP Archive?

Everyone! The IFP Archive aims to provide researchers and practitioners with an in-depth look into the links among access to higher education, international development, and social change.
