Shanae and Shania

Shanae Ingram and Shania Ingram
Fayetteville State University
These twin sisters from Jamaica could not return home, work in the U.S., or rely on family support to meet basic living needs.

Since 1919, IIE has been there when students need us. In our earliest days, IIE rescued over 600 students and scholars during the Bolshevik Revolution. This summer, we provided over 630 emergency grants to international students in the U.S. caught up in the global coronavirus pandemic.
