Since 1919, IIE has been there when students need us. In our earliest days, IIE rescued over 600 students and scholars during the Bolshevik Revolution. This summer, we provided over 630 emergency grants to international students in the U.S. caught up in the global coronavirus pandemic.
The Emergency Student Fund, launched in 2010, provides grants to international college students in the U.S. when natural disasters, war, or other crises back home threaten their education.
Private contributions make this work possible. We could not do it without you.
Please make a gift to help IIE prepare for the next crisis, so we can help more students when they need us.
CARES Act Increases Deductions for Charitable Contributions
Congress has recognized that the generous gifts donors provide to nonprofits is a crucial way everyone can help in this crisis. Thanks to the CARES Act, you can help IIE support students and scholars while saving money on your taxes next year.
For those who don’t itemize their taxes: The bill allows an above-the-line deduction up to $300 per taxpayer ($600 for a married couple) for charitable contributions.
For those who do itemize: The bill increases the cap on annual giving to 100% of adjusted gross income.
