IIE Beijing

Overview

IIE’s office in Beijing assists with the implementation of the U.S. Department of State’s Fulbright Program and is also responsible for recruitment and selection of Chinese participants in the Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program (IFP).


What services are available at this office?

Opened in 2001, the IIE Beijing Office focuses primarily on administration of grants competitions and programs:

  • Supporting the exchange of Fulbright researchers between the United States and China
  • Selecting Chinese teachers for grants to teach in the United States
  • Designing and administering annual grants competitions, including the Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program, and three grants competitions for the China Medical Board
