 Help Empower Women Entrepreneurs in Tunisia

Almost two years after riots fueled by economic frustration and unemployment led to the toppling of the Tunisian government and started the Arab Spring, unemployment remains a challenge and a catalyst for unrest. Women’s Enterprise for Sustainability (WES), IIESF’s Center for Women’s Leadership Initiatives newest program, focuses on building the entrepreneurialism and sustainability of local civil society organizations in Tunisia and training a network of women entrepreneurs with leadership and practical skills to actively contribute to shaping the future of their country.

Exploring U.S. Foreign Policy

Please join us in welcoming 19 International Visitor Leadership Program participants from Europe on Thursday, December 13th at 6:30pm. The panel discussion will highlight foreign policy issues of concern to Europe and the U.S., including global trends that frame U.S. foreign policy. The participants will share insight into the development of international policy from the perspective of both the public and private sectors.

What services are available at this office?

Global Scholarships
IIESF provides program design; outreach services; application and marketing material design; recruitment and facilitation of selection panels; student advising; and grant management.

Professional Exchanges
IIESF manages a variety of exchange programs in higher education, leadership development, and teacher exchange with topics ranging from women's empowerment to STEM field innovation.

Development Initiatives 
IIESF has tested successful models for working with NGOs around the world in building their local capacity and expanding their reach, ultimately improving their ability to support underserved populations in their communities and beyond.
