What is IIE's Center for Women's Leadership Initiatives?
The IIE Center for Women's Leadership Initiatives (CWLI) provides opportunities for women and girls worldwide to participate in cutting-edge training, professional development and exchange programs and pursue higher education.Through our programs, women develop and join networks of peers, mentors and experts and serve as effective leaders in the public and private sectors around the world.
Two teams from the WeTech Afterschool Program in Bangalore, India were selected as finalists for the 2015 Technovation Challenge. The teams competed at the World Pitch Event in San Francisco where Team The X-Women finished with honorable mentions in the top five while Team Pentechan took home the grand prize of $10,000.

The U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs (ECA) announced the winners of the 2015 Alumnae Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF). Four teams consisting of TechWomen alumnae cohorts from Lebanon, Rwanda, Cameroon and Kenya were among the winners.
