The East-West Center offers a wide variety of both short- and long-term programs for individuals. Academic scholarships and fellowships, as well as educational exchange and professional development programs, are available.

The Ford Foundation International Fellowship Program

The Indonesian International Education Foundation (IIEF) s a non-profit education institute that works in the field of development and exchange study, as well as training, with the intention to foster a better understanding amongst nations. IIEF also manages the International Fellowship Program (IFP). This program was developed by the Ford Foundation, a non-profit institution dedicated to establishing world peace and improving the welfare of all mankind.

The GE Foundation Scholar-Leaders Program

The Indonesian International Education Foundation (IIEF) manages the GE Foundation Scholar-Leaders Program. This program aims to find and develop new leaders that will bring positive changes to the world and their surroundings. In order to face future challenges, being smart is no longer sufficient. Capable leaders are needed who are able to sustain development in any condition, no matter the difficulty of the task at hand.

Indonesia English Language Study Program

The Indonesia English Language Study Program (IELSP) offers students a chance to enroll in English Language Courses at universities in the United States of America (USA) for a period of 8 (eight) weeks.

The goal of this program is to improve the participant’s English language skills, especially for academic purposes. Participants will also have the chance to get acquainted with the people and culture of the USA. IELSP participants will join the immersion program where they will mix with other participants from other nations and countries. Within this program, participants will not only learn the English language, but they will also participate in cultural programs that will enrich their experience.

The SMBC Global Foundation Scholarship

The Indonesian International Education Foundation (IIEF) manages the SMBC Global Foundation Scholarship. The program is sponsored by SMBC (Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation) Global Foundation, Inc.

Scholarships are awarded on a yearly basis to students starting their fourth semester of undergraduate studies. The scholarship covers the tuition fee, living costs, books allowance, and final thesis. Only bachelor’s degree (S1) students from the University of Indonesia, University of Padjajaran, or University of Trisakti may apply.
