About the Office

When learning transcends borders, people build powerful connections to innovate and solve problems together. Founded in 1919, IIE is the global leader in designing and implementing cutting-edge international education strategies and prestigious programs.

IIE has been engaging with higher education in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) for over 100 years, and since 1974, our office in Mexico City has served as a critical branch of our mission to forge brighter futures through educational exchange and lifelong learning. Our Mexico City office connects a global network of universities, organizations, corporations, and local partners to deliver programs that empower professionals, support civil society and human rights defenders, and create opportunities for refugees—preparing individuals and communities to thrive in a changing world.

Additionally, we provide English language evaluation services to facilitate access to international educational opportunities, including the ETS family of English language tests. Our office also hosts the Regional Educational Advising Coordinator (REAC) for EducationUSA in North America (Mexico and Canada), Central America, and the Caribbean.
