IIE’s Center for International Partnerships (CIP) is distinctive in its intensive focus on partnerships, their emerging role in the globalized landscape of higher education, and equipping more institutions, agencies and countries to take advantage of their power.
We offer programs, trainings, and resources designed to increase and strengthen international academic partnerships around the world. We support higher education institutions, ministries, and other organizations in achieving broader international collaboration goals through the power of partnership.

Customized Delegations, Workshops & Trainings
Tailored programming designed to strengthen institutional strategy and partnership development. Past initiatives include the IIE Leadership Delegation to India, the Kazakh-U.S. University Consortium, and the Saudi-U.S. Higher Education Partnerships Forum.
International Academic Partnership Program (IAPP)
Our flagship program equipping higher education institutions to build sustainable global relationships through strategic planning tools, expert guidance, virtual programming, and in-country delegations. Undoubtedly, the International Academic Partnership Program (IAPP) Greece was a game-changer. Facilitating fruitful exchange and promoting enhanced collaboration between U.S. and Greek institutions through various ways, the Program substantially helped us advance our binational strategic partnership in the sector. Seven years after its launch, the development of a plethora of collaborations offering new study and research opportunities reflect the Program’s transformative impact on the internationalization of Greek higher education.
