Center for International Partnerships
Leaders in advancing strategic partnerships worldwide
IIE's Center for International Partnerships has developed into a thought leader in strategic academic partnership building and leverages IIE's vast network of international institutions and government partners to provide unparalleled access to key decision makers in the focus country. We do this through a range of programs, services, and initiatives that:
Guide higher education institutions in developing strategic partnerships
The International Academic Partnership Program (IAPP) provides strategic guidance to U.S. colleges and universities seeking to increase their partnerships with specific focus countries.
Cultivate international multi-lateral research collaboration
The U.S. Department of State-funded Global Innovation Initiative supports cutting-edge research among universities in the U.S., U.K., and third countries.
Build international education capacity at higher education institutions
IIE's Connecting with the World course trains international officers at higher education institutions. The course is currently running in Myanmar with support from the Henry Luce Foundation.
Foster diplomacy through higher education cooperation
IIE Higher Education Initiatives utilize academic cooperation to enhance broader relations between the U.S. and other countries. Current initiatives include Iran, Myanmar, and Cuba.
Connect institutions for academic collaboration
CIP's Global Partnership Service advises higher education institutions around the world on how to initiate partnerships with U.S. counterparts.
