Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program
The program aims to provide educational exchange experiences which would be valuable not only to the scholar, but also to the recipient’s home institution, its faculty, and its students, as well as to the U.S. host institution. Fulbright Scholars serve as cultural ambassadors; they should be prepared to speak not only about their research with academic colleagues but also about their country and culture with academic and community groups.
The program provides opportunities to Ukrainian scholars and professionals to establish new contacts with academic and professional colleagues in the U.S.; to develop collaborative research relationships with U.S. scholars and professionals; and to pursue scholarly work in the U.S. without interruption. Grant recipients will have free and open use of their host institution’s extensive library resources to enhance their knowledge, gather literature unavailable in Ukraine, and to revise or create new scholarly publications.

Fulbright Research and Development Program
The Fulbright Research and Development Program provides opportunities for scholars and professionals to conduct research, engage in course and curriculum development. The FRDP Program targets teaching faculty and scholars under the age of 40 who are either teaching at institutions of higher learning or are affiliated with academic, research, or cultural institutions, including libraries and museums, or with NGOs.

Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program
The Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program (FLTA) provides young teachers of Ukrainian language, recent graduates or young professionals in related fields (Ukrainian Literature, Translation Studies, Communications, Journalism, American Studies, Teaching English as a Foreign Language) the opportunity to refine their teaching skills and broaden their knowledge of American cultures and customs while strengthening the instruction of foreign languages at colleges and universities in the United States, to assist in language instruction, and to serve as cultural ambassadors on campus.

Fulbright Graduate Student Program
This program provides an opportunity for graduate students to combine study and independent research in a variety of ways: to earn a Master degree; to take advanced courses; to practice teaching through an assistantship in a university; research outside a degree program allows a student to specialize in a particular area; to re-qualify in a different area; or to broaden an academic perspective.

Fulbright Specialist Program
Ukrainian Academic institutions are invited to submit requests for Fulbright Senior Specialists (by name or by field of specialization) to undertake the following kinds of activities, over a two to six -week period:
• Conduct needs assessments, surveys, institutional or programmatic research.
• Take part in specialized academic programs and conferences in conjunction with other scheduled activities.
• Consult with administrators and instructors of post-secondary institutions on faculty development.
• Present lectures at graduate and undergraduate levels.
• Participate in or lead seminars or workshops at overseas academic institutions.
• Develop and/or assess academic curricula or educational materials.
• Conduct teacher-training programs at the tertiary level.
Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence Program
The Worldwide Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence Program brings visiting scholars and professionals from abroad to lecture at U.S. colleges and universities for one semester or one academic year. Fulbright Scholars-in-Residence can have a significant impact on U.S. colleges and universities. In addition to teaching courses, scholars give campus-wide and community lectures, help initiate international programs and contribute to curriculum development. Although preference is given to proposals in the humanities or social sciences, other fields focusing on international issues will be considered. The program is especially appropriate for small liberal arts colleges, minority-serving institutions, and community colleges, many of which do not often have the opportunity to host visiting scholars.
Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence Program
Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program
The program offers awards to U.S. college and university faculty and administrators as well as for professionals, artists, journalists, scientists, lawyers, independent scholars interested in researching, teaching or research/teaching at higher education and research institutions in Ukraine. Applications are welcome in all fields, including the arts, technology and natural sciences. Preference will be given to projects in the humanities and social sciences, especially projects that assist in building civil society or educational, economic, political, and legal reform in Ukraine, as well as subjects related to the United States. Award length: 5-10 months.
Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program
Fulbright U.S. Student Program
The Fulbright U.S. Student Program provides grants for individually designed study/research projects or for English Teaching Assistant Programs. Grantees will be affiliated with accredited academic or research institutions in Ukraine. Candidates at all degree levels will be considered, but master’s and doctoral students will be given priority consideration. Grant period: 9 months.
